Silica
Silica powder is an inorganic material whose main component is silicon dioxide (SiO₂). Depending on its structure, silica exists in two primary forms:
- Amorphous silica (Nano Silica): Safer form, commonly used in food and cosmetic applications
- Crystalline silica: Found in sand and crushed stone; caution is required during handling
